At first, your cat may reject any new litter brand simply because its smell and texture are different. To decrease stress and confusion, gradually acclimate your cat to the new litter brand. Start by mixing one-third new litter with two-thirds old litter. Then, gradually increase the amount of new litter until the transition is complete.
